Desoto Jones is a band that’s been a part of the MTV music department for a few years. Their music has been placed in several shows, including the MTV Video Music Awards. They continue to grow in their songwriting and produce extremely solid rock songs. They quickly broke away from their initial “Emo” sound that their contemporaries were holding onto and seemingly matured overnight with a bigger and stronger sound. They continue to evolve which is evident with their latest batch of music. The vocals are confident and the melodies infectious. Desoto Jones is one of the hardest working bands around. I’m excited to have them as a part of Hype and look forward to hearing from them for a long time to come.
Desoto Jones is a band of musicians from Philadelphia who have always been passionate about music. Formed by brothers Owen and Adam Staszewski with long-time friends Ean Kyler, Greg Townsend and Adam Francois, this band is their ultimate musical release. They are able to put the things they want to hear into songs without blatantly indulging themselves or disregarding any standards of quality. One might say that they essentially follow a rock 'n' roll philosophy of no-bull and powerful delivery, but they are never at a loss for innovative sounds.
